Lorraine Ebdon
Dip. Psychology. Birkbeck. Uni. London
Warm, caring and intuitive, Lorraine draws on her own amazing journey to facilitate others on theirs.
Her unpretentious, playful manner puts people immediately at their ease, yet she has a sharp insightful quality which she uses to help clients to recognise and take up their own power and become truly themselves. These qualities also help her facilitate clients in creating exciting goals and maintaining motivation to see plans through to completion.
As Head of Costume at The Royal Opera House London for 8 years, Lorraine managed a staff of 80. Having left school at 16 without qualifications, she worked her way up to this position through hard work, creativity and an exceptional ability to understand and motivate people.
Her achievements are all the more remarkable for being self-taught and for the difficulties she overcame in her early life. Lorraine studied psychology with Birkbeck, University of London to help her manage her large team at the Opera House. This led to her interest in personal empowerment and motivation and, ultimately, to studying life coaching.
After becoming a mother for the first time at 40, Lorraine became a professional life coach. She combines now coaching individuals and small groups with her role as a mother to Isabella, aged 6.
As well as her professional coach training, Lorraine is currently studying for a Diploma in Person-centered Counselling at the City Lit.
She is co-Director of the Firework Life Change Programme (LCP) and Director of the New Parents Programme (NPP) with the firework coaching company (www.fireworkcoaching.com).
